Paul's Story
Paul has taught mathematics at Palisade High for 33 years, raising 4 sons - all of whom attended District 51 schools - and now 4 terrific grandkids in the Grand Valley. Trained in finance before being called to education, Paul has taught at three schools as an instructor of algebra, geometry, student television production, and strength and conditioning. He has coached track and football for nearly four decades, leading teams and individuals to state titles and mentoring generations of Grand Valley youth. Paul holds a Master's degree in Sports Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, and was certified to become a principal.
Beyond his service to local schools, Paul has served as the Vice Chairman of the Lands End Fire Department, worked locally and at the state level with water rights, and served for eight years as President of a Whitewater HOA. Paul attended the Vineyard Church for many years and now attends Fellowship and New Horizons Four Square Church.
Paul is a lifelong chess player and outdoorsman, enjoying Western Colorado water and snow skiing, hunting and fishing, cycling, and the arts.
